The Québec Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) members are delighted to present, in partnership with Walmart Canada, the Toonies for Torches campaign to benefit Special Olympics Québec.

In July 2010, the 54 Walmart stores in Québec will present the Toonies for Torches campaign. During 10 days, Walmart customers will be invited to purchase torches for $2 each. All funds collected will provide over 4,000 Québec special athletes with training and competition programs designed to increase their well-being, self-sufficiency, self-esteem and social integration.     

The campaign presented across Canada will be held in July 2010. The official campaign dates will be announced later.

In 2009, the Toonies for Torches campaign has raised $500,000 all over Canada, and $60,000 in Québec. This year, the Québec police forces wish to raise $70 000.
