
The Special Olympics Festival, SOQ’s main source of financing, has raised over $5,5 million net since its inception in 1998. The sums raised allow Special Olympics Québec to pursue its mission and give over 3,800 special athletes access to specialized training programs and adapted competitions designed for the well-being and the integration into society of people with an intellectual disability.
The 13th edition of the Special Olympic Festival will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Palais des congrès of Montréal under the honorary presidency of Mr. Normand Blouin, Senior Vice-President ot the Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited.
This exceptional evening will bring together members of Montreal’s business community, as well as amateur and professional sports celebrities, in support of the sports achievements and social inclusion of Special Olympics Quebec’s 4,000 or so athletes living with an intellectual disability.
